Heather Smith /Owner and Designer
Heather creates interiors that are creative and layered with details—with an emphasis on beautiful collected items, natural colors and durable materials. Her work reflects the need for both stylish living and functionality for today’s busy families. An antiques lover, Heather combines a traditional aesthetic with minimum accessories to keep interiors grounded but young and edgy in spirit. Her travels influence her personal style as well as her design work that encompasses traditional homes, urban apartments, motor coaches and private planes. Heather has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Winthrop University and joined Circa in 2002 with experience in commercial design. A mother of three, Heather also serves as creative advisor for Lux Lampshades.

Cindy Smith /Designer
As a college student, a study in France opened Cindy to the effects of beauty in daily living. Combining this joie de vivre and her love of antiques, she opened the doors of Circa Interiors &. Antiques in 1980. Drawing on her knowledge of antiques, understanding of design and passion for quality, Cindy has created a style showcased in leading design magazines, including Southern Accents, House Beautiful, Southern Living, Veranda and House & Garden. Under her tutelage, Cindy has fostered the education and design careers of all who have worked under Circa’s roof. A grandmother of six, Cindy loves spending time with family, traveling, cooking and entertaining.

MK Boykin/Designer
MK is known for a modern twist on traditional design, as she is all about balance. It's the philosophy behind her eclectic, sophisticated interiors — which mix edgy pieces with antique treasures. Texture, clean lines & organic elements fuel MK’s designs to create thoughtful and curated spaces.
She received her bachelor’s degree of Interior Architecture & Design at Queens University. After working for multiple reputable, high-end residential design firms in Charlotte, MK re-joined Circa in 2020.
MK draws inspiration from her clients and their homes, the natural world, architecture, and her travels. She prides herself on being able to create functional and exceptional spaces by blending her style with her client’s tastes to create a cohesive, unique look.
